Hands-On, Holistic Physiotherapy in Jandakot
Stephanie Lock, Owner of Adventure Physio
Hi, I’m Steph. Physio, Strength and Conditioning coach and founder of Adventure Physio, Jandakot.
I work with people who care about their bodies and the lives they want to live in them.
That might mean recovering from injury, managing pain, or rebuilding confidence after surgery. Just as often it means finally figuring out what's been holding you back in the first place, and doing something about it.
I don't just treat the part that hurts. I look at the whole picture, because that's usually where the real answer is.
Outside the clinic, you'll find me where my four essentials for happiness are: nature, delicious food, good people, and moving my body outside. Bonus points if my partner and my Great Dane, Annie are there too.
Curious how I work?
“Steph is fantastic and she is an incredibly knowledgeable physio. I appreciate the commitment she puts into finding the root cause of the issues I’ve been experiencing. Steph is exceptionally good at communicating to me what she is doing (and what I should be doing!) in a way I understand and can action. Her knowledge about outdoor and adventure sports and activities sets her apart. I highly recommend Steph.”
Adventure Physio’s Approach
Most physios treat the part that hurts. I look at everything connected to it as well.
Sessions look different depending on what you need. Some are hands-on, with massage, dry needling, joint manipulation, or taping.
Others are entirely movement-based. Often it's both. That said, I've been introduced at parties as "the physio who isn't afraid to touch people." What can I say, it’s true.
Sometimes we'll look deeper, exploring whether your organs, vestibular system, balance, or even eye movements are playing a role. We might also look at the beliefs, stress, and nervous system patterns that can quietly keep people stuck.
I blend physiotherapy with strength and conditioning, Pilates, osteopathic techniques, and functional neurology.
If you've been looking for a physio who thinks outside the box, you're in the right place.
